Upcoming Revoltech Sci-Fi Figures

ap_20100308074110351.jpg

The Revoltech Sci-Fi series was announced some time ago and the latest pics of their upcoming offerings are starting to tempt me. The Dark Knight Batman, Alien Queen and the Predator are all top on my lists. Even the Toy Story figures are looking good.

I have the Transformers and Macross figures from revoltech and they are all great quality figures. I’m happy they are starting to branch out. They just got to make sure their sculpt and quality remains.

The first figure of the series will be an Alien figure. What a great way to start. I have it pre-ordered and it’s due this April. Nice.

Tokyo Toy Shops – Jan 2010 Updates

  P1040048.jpg

After much procrastinating, I’ve finally updated my Tokyo Toy Shops posts. The shops are still basically the same. I did check out one or two new shops, but nothing to post about. The main shops are still going strong.

The Jan 2010 updates are in blue. There are pics of shop fronts and the interior of the shops themselves to give you an idea of what to expect and find. I’m planning my 2011 trip, will update more then! :P Have fun toy shopping in Tokyo!

Transformers Alternity Starscream and Skywarp

Pics of the upcoming Alternity Starscream and Skywarp have been released. I have been impressed with the Alternity series thus far and have grabbed every release. The sculpts and designs do look better than the earlier Binaltech series, though the size is a bit smaller.

Starscream and Skywarp look pretty awesome from the pics. I esspecially like Skywarp’s colours. Will definitely be pre-ordering these. :)

Toy Fair 2010 – Transformers – Powercore Combiners

The Powercore Combiners is something new from Hasbro that didn’t really catch my eye until I saw the 5 pack images. Basically a modern rehash on the Combaticons and Aerialbots. I must say, that I’m pretty sold on the new looks. Hope they turn out as good as it looks.

Toy Fair 2010 – Transformers – Generations

Transformers Generations is basically the Classics series 3.0. A retake on old G1 characters that fans love. The latest announcements from Toy Fair 2010 didn’t really excite me thus far. Only Drift from the TF comics and Thrust, which was released previously in Japan, caught my eye. Though Tformers.com did report that Darkmount, as seen below, did have a Straxus (from the comics) head sculpt. I would definately check that out.

Other pics can be found here and here.

Toy Fair 2010 – Star Wars (including the huge AT-AT!!)

Woot! The AT-AT in it’s full toy glory has been announced. Since I got the Millennium Falcon, I have been waiting to see what was next from Hasbro. And they didn’t dissappoint. The new figure looks huge ass and packed with accessories too!

Hasbro announced their plans for the year and there are quite a few things to look forward to, like their vintage line. I also did like the Birth of Darth Vader battlepack. oooo yaaa! More pics here, here and here.

Toy Fair 2010 – Transformers – War for Cybertron

Latest pics from Toy Fair 2010. War for Cybertron official Toy figures! woot! Prime is looking good. Check out the pics here and here.

And for those of you that missed the CGI pic of Shockwave, here is it below. I hope they make a toy of him. He’s looking awesome!

Hot Toys Terminator 2 – T800

18a.jpg

Hot Toys has done it again! Welcoming the new year with the official announcement of the T2 T800 figure. It’s Arnold Schwarzenegger at his Terminator best! The head sculpt looks wonderful and with so much detail. Just looking at the pic above you can see the skin tone and shading. Amazing stuff!

Okie, so I’m very sure that Hot Toys will eventually announce a ‘battle damaged’ T800 sometime down the road, with the flesh on Arnie’s head ripped to shreads showing the endoskeleton. It’s part of ‘milking’ us dry. And I’m a sucker for ‘milking. lol Bring it on Hot Toys!

DX Marcoss Quarter Unboxed Pics

photo.jpg

The DX Macross Quarter is beautiful toy. It’s well made and a mix of plastic and die cast parts. It’s a sturdy toy and it looks great! Below are the heaps of pics I took.

The figure even has smaller fighter and mechs that you can place on the ship!

It’s a great, though expensive piece for my collection. Will go nicely with my other Macross Frontier DX figures! :)

12′ inch SAF Soldier in No. 1 & 4 uniform with SAR21

P1030844.jpg

After scoring the 12′ inch SAR21 rifle, I just had to kit bash an SAF soldier in No. 1 & 4 uniforms. Those of you who know me personally would know I’m a Scout PC in the SAF, and thus the soldier with a jungle cap.

P1030841.jpg

I started of with your typical SAF soldier in No. 4 uniform holding onto a carbine, previously the weapon of choice for Recce elements in the SAF. (Do note that SAF’s No. 4 uniform has recently changed in the past couple of years, but I’ve yet to find a proper match in 12′ inch scale.)

And now the SAF solder with the SAR21, the current weapon Recce elements use in the SAF. Some more pics below.

P1030845.jpg P1030846.jpg P1030847.jpg

The SAF No.1 uniform is the ceremonial uniform and is often used during special occasions and parades. The 12′ inch uniform I managed to score looks great and has an officer rank, but instead of infantry, it has amour insignias. Haiz. Well you can’t have everything. I’m using a Hot-Toys Truetype body with this.
