New pics are out from NYCC for Marvel’s 3.75′ figures! There’s the new Marvel Universe X-Men boxset and the Apocalypse figure. And first looks at the Captain America movie figures as well as those from Thor. Captain America does look a bit on the Chunky side compared to the MU figures. Doesn’t seem to look as good.

There’s also Mandarin from Iron Man series, and a new Venom from the Spiderman series. Venom looks good! continue reading..

Managed to pick up the Marvel Universe SDCC 2010 exclusives from various sources. The Captain America and Movie Spiderman figures have the new bodies and much better articulation. Ball jointed wrists, better joints for the neck and the ankle as well! I especially like Captain America’s removable helmet and Spiderman’s costume from the movies. Great figures!

What really took my breath away was the Galactus figure! The box and carded packaging is huge! It looks amazing! I haven’t opened him up yet, and I’m contemplating if I should, but from the looks of it he has some pretty good articulation as well.

To give a bit of perspective, you can see how small Captain America is compared to Galactus. He’s a huge figure! Nice…

So now the only figure missing from my SDCC MU Exclusives collection is Thor, I should be getting that next week! Woot! Great figures!

The full cast of Avengers assembled on stage at Comic-Con. Aweseome! Marvel’s movie universe is definately getting exciting. Good to see we’ll see more of the Black Widow too. heh

The initial design art for Captain America: The First Avenger is looking good! I was wondering how they were gonna translate the iconic uniform to real life. And it’s looking pretty fine. I can’t wait for the movie!

The Mori Art Museum in Roppongi Hills is one of my favorite art museums. It’s location at the top of the Mori Towers does help, but it’s also because of the excellent curation of the exhibits. The use of space and lighting goes a long way in helping my appreciation of art.

Went down to OG to check out the sale. Wasn’t too shabby. Got my first Marvel figures. Including the SDCC Captain America exclusive. Nice.
