Christmas came early in Tokyo. The latest pics from the Hot Toys 10th Anniversary Exhibition in Tokyo look great with some new reveals! First was the new licenses, of which I’m excited about Captain America, Batman (Michael Keaton’s Bats) and Indiana Jones.

But the main highlight was seeing some pics of upcoming 12′ inch figures coming out. There’s Raiders of the Lost Ark Indiana Jones, Iron Man Mark V, Iron Monger prototype, Resident Evil Alice and Thor! Thor is looking really good! I’ll let the pics speak for themselves. It’s been a while since I’ve been this excited about a Superman comic storyline. For quite a long while, comics have portrayed Superman and his alter-ego Clark Kent in a fairly typical way. The All American hero who’s sure of his role as a superhero.

But after reading the preview of Superman – Earth One, it looks like we’ll be seeing a more conflicted and brooding Superman. The grittiness from the preview pages is making me pretty excited. This reboot of his origin story could be the best yet, bringing Superman into the current age. The best thing about it, the comic will be released as a Graphic Novel come end of October. I’m excited.

Hot Toys has released a teaser of their 12′ inch Christopher Reeve Superman as the next DX figure. Most Superman fans would agree Christopher Reeve’s portrayal as the man of steel in Richard Donner’s classic movie was iconic. This figure is a must get!

The Mori Art Museum in Roppongi Hills is one of my favorite art museums. It’s location at the top of the Mori Towers does help, but it’s also because of the excellent curation of the exhibits. The use of space and lighting goes a long way in helping my appreciation of art.

The Revoltech Sci-Fi series was announced some time ago and the latest pics of their upcoming offerings are starting to tempt me. The Dark Knight Batman, Alien Queen and the Predator are all top on my lists. Even the Toy Story figures are looking good.

I have the Transformers and Macross figures from revoltech and they are all great quality figures. I’m happy they are starting to branch out. They just got to make sure their sculpt and quality remains.

The first figure of the series will be an Alien figure. What a great way to start. I have it pre-ordered and it’s due this April. Nice.

Hands down the best movie in the past few years! The you don’t feel the length of the movie, it captures you and draws you further into the world of the Dark Knight.

The acting was superb. Heath Ledger did a great job and the hype of his role of Joker was deserved. The Joker was disturbing. The score for the film helped to carry the emotions as well. What else do I need to say? It’s breaking box office records in the US. Go Watch it!
