New pics are out from NYCC for Marvel’s 3.75′ figures! There’s the new Marvel Universe X-Men boxset and the Apocalypse figure. And first looks at the Captain America movie figures as well as those from Thor. Captain America does look a bit on the Chunky side compared to the MU figures. Doesn’t seem to look as good.
There’s also Mandarin from Iron Man series, and a new Venom from the Spiderman series. Venom looks good!

Is that a Mandarin figure in with those Iron Man figs? If that’s the way they make him look for the movie then great. Not the classic look entirely yet not too “up-to-date” and modernized to be recognizable I think. Of course, IM3 is a ways off yet, and Favreau has declined to helm the 3rd IM so who knows who the villain might be and how it’ll turn out.
BTW, can I say (without seeming too obvious) that I am REALLLLY looking forward to seeing the Captain America movie?! I’m about to freak out with excitement over Cap getting his due finally. Ever since the late 90′s Reborn stuff with Mark Waid, Cap has been the best character in comics. (well, except for the little episode where he quit at the end of Civil War. what a crock! Cap gives up?okay…..)
so anyway. Let’s hope they do an awesome job on this one.
