There’s a lot to love about Tokyo, and one of my main loves is the food. There’s so much variety in Japanese food and different flavours from eating sushi to eating yakiniku. In anticipation of my last two posts about my Tokyo 2010 trip, in particular the foods, here are some food pics I couldn’t classify into single posts.

Takopachi! Huge and freshly made. And you can add your own garnishings. As much as you want!

Something different instead of the usual Jap food, German!

Tully’s coffee during a freezing night in Shinjuku.

Great and cheap sushi. So much cheaper than what you can find in Singapore.

Yoshinoya is much better quality than compared to Singapore. It’s more like a proper meal than compared to the skimpy meals we get here. Yummmm

Hi! Chanced upon your blog while in the midst of preparing for my tokyo trip in November! Would like to ask whether do you remember where is the tako-yaki stall in the first picture as well as the German place? Thanks in advance!
P.s Nice pics~
Heya,,
The Tako-Yaki place is in Ueno. Ameyoko, where the street markets are. You should see it if you walk along the markets. More pics at http://www.chazrt.net/2009/04/tokyo-day-5-of-9-ueno-tokyo-national-museum-national-museum-of-nature-science/
As for the German place, that is in Ginza, along the main shopping stretch, kinda near opposite where the Abercrombie & Fitch building/store is.
Oh,, pics for the Abercrombie & Fitch building can be found http://www.chazrt.net/2010/04/tokyo-trip-2010-ginza/
Hi, how much is one meal in yoshinoya? Can we have a complete meal for 800yen per pax??
Thanks
Heya,, meals start from about 500 yen per person. You definitely can find something nice for under 800 yen
I lived in Tokyo 10 years ago (Meguro) and loved it. I miss all the hustle and bustle and yes, even the super crowded streets.
