A super early start (6 am) to get to Disneyland and queue to get in.

Wondering about how long the queues were? Well the shot above is taken from the queue waiting to get into the park. The queue in front of me is the queue waiting to get the park tickets. And remember, this is 7am, the park opens at 8am!

Now this is the queue waiting to get in. If you can squint your eyes, up infront are the gates to enter the park. Yes, I wasn’t very near. lol

And we’re in!! Cinderella’s castle in the distance.

Disneyland has some great rides, but some of the less popular ones are actually the more scenic and serene rides. Above pics are from Mark Twain’s Riverboat ride. You can see red indians all around the riverside. Spot them!

Another fun ride was the Western River Railroad ride. They used a real steam engine train!

Above is the Swiss Family Treehouse. It was amazing how they built the whole thing from scratch with all the detail! It looked like I was in a real treehouse! The view from the top was amazing as well.

One of my memories from Disneyland & Disneyworld was It’s A Small World. A simple but fun ride overall. It’s nice to see how they recreated kids from all over the world.

One of the main rides you have to try is Pooh’s Hunny Hunt. It’s one of the most popular ride for a reason, the movement of the ride is largely random, giving you a different experience every time! So make this one of the first rides you aim for.

A popular ride in all the Disneylands world wide is Space Mountain. It’s adrenaline pumping and a fun roller-coaster ride,,,, in the dark. heh

Pirates of the Caribbean was one of the main rides in Disneyland when it first opened years ago, but it has since been relegated. Still, it is a fun ride and with the addition of the movie cast, it gives an additional familiarity.

Disneyland is not all about rides, some areas have the most imaginative architecture and decor. Above is ToonTown where zany and crazy things happen all the time. For some reason I can’t lift those barbells! ??!

Some other cool things were simple stuff like the Pooh’s shop. It felt like you were in Pooh’s house. The restroom signs were pretty cute as well. Splash Mountain was pretty spectacular in it’s design. And being spring, the flowers all around the park were in full bloom and just added to the romance of the place. Even the ducks couldn’t resist! awwww

Of course no visit to Disneyland would be complete without a parade. We were lucky to catch the special 25th Anniversary celebrations in the park which would end early April. All the big stars were present at the parade. Including a few Pixar characters.

A visit to Disneyland is always one of the highlights of any trip. The park is truly a special and happy place to visit.
