Headed down to Suntec for the media preview of the Singapore Toy & Comic Convention with Shaun, TED & Amy. Had good fun scouting the place out. Though my personal feel is that this is more a Vinyl/Pop culture Toy convention

The main highlight for me was the Star Wars booth which had the new Clone Wars series preview. The Bandai booth was not too shabby too, but nothing new. Medicom’s booth was a disappointment, non of the new Batman TDK figures we saw in pics from the Toy Con in Tokyo.

Fans of mainstream toys like DC, Marvel, GI Joe’s, 12 inch’s, etc. will most probably be disappointed. There was the usual flea markets with bargains. That was mostly it.

Overall, was a good experience. While it may not appeal to everybody, the experience of an actual Toy Con in SG is something to savour. It can only get better in the coming years. So head on down and show your support!
